An Introduction...

I'm very new to the world of blogging. To be honest with you I never really thought much about it, I thought it was just something to do on the Internet when you were feeling bored or nosey. I guess lately I've been feeling a little bit of both...
I was introduced to blogging by the Army Wife Network. I tracked down their page from Facebook when I was trying to understand this new world of being an Army girlfriend. I'm kind of OCD when it comes to new things in my life and feel like I need to know everything about it to prevent disappointment or surprises. I know now that the Army can be full of both.

I found some amazing blogs that gave me some insight into what it's like to be an Army spouse and I was hooked. A friend from high school recently married into the military and I was finding myself giving her advice and helping her navigate the first weeks of marriage in the military. Who am I to tell someone about being a military spouse when I'm not even married yet?! I was surprised at myself but realized that these few months of research into this new life in the Army has taught me a lot! Quiz me now Army wives!

So here I am blogging about this new journey I'm on and wanting people to jump on for the ride...

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 6 years now. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am grateful everyday I'm with him. He enlisted into the Army National Guard in November and ships out February 15th (yea the day after Valentine's Day). He will be going to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for 5 months doing his Basic Training and Military Police Training. I am so proud of him and looking forward to him achieving all his goals. I've made it a priority to get my life together while he's gone. Going back to school, losing weight, paying off debt, etc. I can do all that in 5 months right?! At least I'll try.

Welcome to my journey into the next phase of my life...through these eyes.
