Hi! My name is Kim and welcome to my little corner of the web!

I'm a California girl and wife to my wonderful husband.

This handsome man is my husband, Wan.

We met in 2004 when we worked at a clothing store together and have been pretty much inseparable since then. We were married almost 6 years later and being married to him has been absolutely amazing. He's my soul mate and best friend for life.

This little guy is Rocky.
He's my fur baby and the best dog ever! :)

Rocky is a Maltese mix. He came into our lives in 2009 and instantly stole my heart. A family friend found him running around in the street at just 3 months old. She saved his life and he saved ours. He has such a great personality and loves to play fetch with his tennis balls. We hope to get him a playmate someday soon.

This little blog of mine began while I was reaching out to other military spouses when my husband enlisted in the Army. I started reading all these wonderful ladies journeys and knew that this would be a great outlet for me to get through my husband's extremely long training schedule. 

I began writing about my experience as an Army girlfriend which then became Army wife. I'll admit that a lot of my focus was on my husband and our experiences going through this big change. Since then it has evolved to include more of me, who I am as a person and how I'm making it through this crazy journey called life.

In 2011 I injured my back on a fossil dig, leaving me completely disabled from my work at a Natural History Museum. Since then I have been writing about my experiences getting the treatment I need and my hopes of making a full recovery. 

I also like to chat about how I've had to change my diet due to my injury and what I do when I'm forced to stay in bed and rest (make all the things with Crochet!).
