Guess what?!?!

I know it's been a little while since I've posted on here. It's been a little crazy. Wan (my love) and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to San Diego this past weekend. We had both been feeling the pressure of his upcoming ship out date and thought it would be a good time to just get away. We decided the night before that we were going to leave and had made no plans at all! It was a bit stressful as I am the ultimate planner but I made it through it and it ended up being the best weekend of my life....so far.

We packed our bags just in case we decided to stay the night and off we were! I think we were driving for about 30 minutes when my "Service Engine Soon" light came on in the car. WHAT?! I was freaking out a little and thought that our whole spontaneous weekend was getting flushed down the toilet. We turned back around and went to the local Nissan dealership. The first thing the attendant asked was if I had gotten gas recently, I replied yes and he popped open my gas door and said "This is your problem" while jiggling around my gas cap. I guess silly me didn't click it into place and my fancy car let me know that I'm an idiot! So we clicked it back in place and off we were to SAN DIEGO!

After lots of LA and OC traffic we finally made it to SD and were so pooped! We walked around sea port village and watched the sunset over Coronado Bay and guess what?!?! He PROPOSED!!!!

That's right he proposed to me looking at the sunset over Coronado Bay in San Diego. It was the most romantic thing ever!

Here I am blabbing about how romantic this is and that this is a great place to propose saying things like "You'll say that I'm the love of your life and that you want to spend the rest of your life with me and will you be my Army Wife" and he just looked at me, took the box out of his pocket and said, "You took the words right out of my mouth". I was in so much shock I didn't know what to say and couldn't stop smiling, I still cant stop smiling. It was the best ring I could have asked for and he picked it out all on his own. I am so lucky to be engaged to the love of my life.

After the lovey dovey proposal we met up with some friends and celebrated at a local brewery. We spent the night at a hotel and woke up to get breakfast at the famous Broken Yolk Cafe.

Since he's such a military buff we spent the rest of the day at the USS Midway Museum and took lots of pictures that I will post very soon. It was a great weekend and one that will definitely go down in the books as the best of my life.

Now onto the second part of this news....we're getting married in two weeks!!!

Way to speed things up! When the Army gives you orders you must follow. We need to make sure we get all the paperwork processed before he leaves in less then 30 days.

Vegas here we come!
